Nu-Air Cares October: Staying Involved in Our Community!

Nu-Air Heating & Cooling

Here at Nu-Air Heating & Cooling, we have a passion for our community and working to make life better for everyone around us. It’s this passion that inspired us to start our Nu-Air Cares program, an initiative where we give back to worthy causes either through our time, donations, or other forms of generosity and service. In the past, we’ve helped with a number of important initiatives and projects, and the month of October was no different. Check out what we were privileged to have the opportunity to do!

Presentation to BNI

We had the incredible privilege of giving a presentation to the local chapter of Business Networking International, an organization that helps companies of all sizes develop strong professional bonds based on trust and experience. Through extensive networking and a professional referral marketing program, BNI makes it possible for businesses to increase their volume in a way that’s positive, impactful, and long-term.

In this presentation to Referral Express (the name of the local group), we will have the ability to discuss a topic that becomes relevant quickly around this time of year: carbon monoxide. With the weather getting colder, people everywhere are turning on their furnaces to stay warm. However, furnaces cause 34% of all carbon monoxide poisoning cases per year. With this presentation, we were able to educate businesses about a pressing need and establish a reputation as a trustworthy and dependable name in furnace and heating services.

Miss our first lecture? Not a problem: we’re going to be doing it again! We’ll be presenting before the Original Northshore Chapter of BNI on the morning of November 17th at Boscos in Mandeville. The presentation will feature hands-on demonstrations of HVAC technology and how it can help you keep you and your family safe.

Proudly Sponsoring Gatorfest

We were proud to sponsor Tchefuncte Middle School’s annual Gator Fest celebration! The annual event gave kids a great way to have fun in a festival environment while also learning important things they need to know. The event was sponsored by a number of local businesses and sought to raise funds to further children’s education in the area.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we were proud to support the ongoing battle against this disease that impacts so many women around the world. To celebrate, we added a pink ribbon to our sign and wore special uniforms embroidered with the pink breast cancer awareness ribbon on them. This was our way of reaching out to our community and encouraging others to become involved in this fight that still has so far to go.

LSU Game Package Giveaway

We were also thrilled to have the opportunity to give a Louisiana State University football fan the opportunity to see the Tigers in person! Lauren Itri was the lucky winner of our ticket package, which we were able to deliver to her in-person. Itri was able to watch the game from behind one of the endzones, some of the best seats in the house!
