Meet Philip

Meet Philip

Heating & Air Conditioning Technician

Edgar the owner is a veteran and not easy to win over. He worked with Philip three years before Edgar ventured out on his own (Don't want it to sound like we stole him though. Philip reached out to us. Mostly because he valued Edgar business and work ethic.) Edgar quickly took to Philip for both his technical and personality attributes. The way he cared for his family was also a plus. Our kids and wives have remained friends over the years as well, so having him join the team was a natural fit. Philip is trustworthy, dependable and a heck of a good guy! Not to mention he certainly brings a silly side to the everyday adventures of HVAC life.

Philip first got his start in the heating and air conditioning business through his parents friends, who owned an air conditioning company and initially gave him a job. At the time, he knew nothing about heating and cooling and had to start from the bottom as a helper in order to learn the trade. However, thanks to his technical skills and ability to quickly learn how things work, he picked up valuable abilities in a short amount of time and firmly established himself as a dependable technician. Now, after 15 years in the business, he’s proud to be a part of our team here at Nu-Air Heating & Cooling.

Philip cites the first HVAC tech he worked with and his mentor, as the reason he not only stuck with the industry, but has succeeded how he has. He says he was taken under his wing and was taught not only what he needed to know from a technical skill standpoint, but how to be a better employee and be more professional when visiting a customer’s home or business.

Philip’s daily motivation is his family. He loves spending time with his family when he’s away from work, and is motivated every day to be the best he can be in order to care for them. He’s also passionate about the cause of breast cancer research, particularly as his mother had her own bout with the disease.

In his spare time, Phil enjoys restoring cars, camping, sleeping, and spending quality time with his family.
